چکیده

This paper presents a minimal and complete set of structural refactoring rules for the Object-Z specification language that allow for the derivation of arbitrary object-oriented architectures. The rules are equivalence preserving and work in concert with existing class refinement theory, so that any design derived using the rule set can be shown to be equivalent to, or a refinement of, the original specification.

Declarative Semantics in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey

One of the modern paradigms to develop an application is object oriented analysis and design. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles in applications. In an application, we must distinguish between procedural semantics and declarative semantics for their implementation in a specific programming language. For the procedural semantics, we can write a ...

Refactoring Object-Z specifications

This paper describes an approach to transferring techniques of refactorings to formal methods. We use syntactical rewriting rules to express refactorings on Object-Z specifications. In contrast to programming languages here refactorings can be formally proven to preserve the behaviour of the specification. We give an outline of such a proof of behaviour preservation.

A Set of Refactoring Rules for UML-B Specifications

UML-B is a graphical formal modelling notation which is based on UML and relies on Event-B and its verification tools. In this paper, we propose annealing and introduce subtyping rules as well-known refactoring rules which can improve and assist the derivation of object-oriented design from an abstract specification written in UML-B. We prove that the proposed annealing rules are behavior prese...

Evaluation of Rough Set Theory for Decision Making of rehabilitation Method for Concrete Pavement

In recent years a great number of advanced theoretical - empirical methods has been developed for design & modeling concrete pavements distress. But there is no reliable theoretical method to be use in evaluation of conerete pavements distresses and making a decision about repairing them. Only empirical methods is used for this reason. One of the most usual methods in evaluating concrete paveme...

Formal Use of Design Patterns and Refactoring

Design patterns has been used very effectively in object-oriented design for a long time. Refactoring is also widely used for producing better maintainable and reusable designs and programs. In this paper, we investigate how design patterns and refactoring rules are used in a formal method by formulating and showing them as refinement laws in the calculus of refinement of component and object-o...
